Communicating Social Responsibility 
Project Description

Kombucha Town acts upon strong environmental and social values and these actions need to be recorded and documented as the company grows. My job was to sort through the past campaigns and organizations KT has donated to and display these efforts by creating a new page titled Community Outreach on the Kombucha Town website. 

Project Objectives
  • Better communicate our involvement with Bellingham and the greater community to viewers of the website.

  • Strengthen KT's sustainable brand by showcasing past donations and commitment to social responsibility.

  • Create a space on the website for future inquires by organizations to request donations.

  • Showcase membership with Sustainable Connections and why it is important to KT.

Project Process

Meetings with KT's Marketing Director Kyle: Kyle and I paired up to filter through emails involving donation orders with different organizations in the last two years. We were able to create a long list of organizations we have donated our time, venue, product, or money to in the past. We then formatted these organizations logos and I created a paragraph to communicate our work with local businesses and how this is a part of our sustainable values at Kombucha Town.

Meeting with Sustainable Connections: We met with Sustainable Connections (SC) to discuss Kombucha Town's membership and the endless resources they provide to help strengthen and market KT's sustainable values as a company. I documented the future targets SC sets that KT can meet and the people we need to contact in the near future. I created a graphic and paragraph to add to the Community Outreach page that communicates Sustainable Connections role in sharpening KT's core values and goals (See Appendix B).

Project Outcomes

  • Created concise paragraph about our past contributions and future desire to act upon our social responsibility as a company to be involved with creating a better community and environment.

  • Created an additional concise paragraph communicating our membership with Sustainable Connections and why they are beneficial to KT's sustainable brand.

  • Launched the Community Outreach Page on
